SanDisk Secure Access is worthless
I bought SanDisk Secure Access. It is a very poor product. I paid a lot for a 128GB stick. But after opening the stick I found a very limited product how to use description. The way to store files in this stick is very unorganized. I was not able to find out how to create a map and put files in there. So I had to store files without using a map??? Furthermore after opening the stick I found out that you have to purchase another vault to receive the full (!!) product. This product is totally disgusting. I threw it away. So unworkable. I will never buy any product anymore from Western Digital.

Purchased an external hard drive which on arrival it didn’t work there was no returns label included and there web site says to ring and get a RDM label you cannot get through and when you go through there support team on line they say if they have not responded in 72 hours the case will be closed SURPRISE SURPRISE. So BUYER BEWARE would not recommend

Shipped the wrong items to me and sent…
Shipped the wrong items to me and sent me someone elses receipt, name and address. WD do not provide any contact phone number or email for their online store in the shipping package and it is very hard to find online.
Eventually called head office in the UK to get the right number. Shipping could not understand how the wrong items had been put in the box and sent to me "because it has never happened to him before"!!
Will not send me the correct items which I urgently needed or contact the other customer who probably had my stuff, as he had to open a case and investigate it first, so another two weeks while they work out what has happened.
Simple phone call to the other customer could have found this out in minutes, but they didn't want to provide any kind of customer service.
So now i have to send them photographs of what was shipped to me while they decide what to do!
Useless.
WD Online store phone number is 0808 189 6445.
Bad seller, poor Customer Services
I ordered a “WD_BLACK™ SN850 NVMe™ SSD with Heatsink - 1TB” for my son’s birthday. I was working from home on the planned delivery date, so I was at home the whole day. UPS delivered the parcel to a nearby “UPS Access Point” for customer collection and send me an email to that effect. The shop was almost a mile away from home which was inconvenient. For the interest of getting the birthday present to my son in time, I went to the store straight after finishing work. However, the shop decided to close early that day. I came back home without my son’s birthday present. We celebrated the 14th birthday without a present ☹
I went to the UPS Access Point again the next day to collect the parcel (half hour walk) which was another unnecessary trip in the hottest weather since records began. I contacted WD store explaining the bitter experience, and received the following response: “UPS is a 3rd party company and we don't have control of their processes or insights of all of their procedures”, which was shifting the blame to UPS and not taking any liability or blame. This is a prime example of a very poor and appalling Customer Services from WD. So, I would not recommend shopping at WD online store. I’d buy from the best known online reputable company, you can guess the name.
Their hard drives are bad and their customer service is terrible
I ordered a hard drive for ver cheap from their refurbished line, low and behold, it was bad so I returned it. There is a reason why they are selling cheap hard drives and its because they don't work. Now then, their customer service and return for the hard drive was a long and boring process. They don't have a nice way of returning stuff like amazon does so you will have to go on an adventure to find a way to return the item. They also seemed to have forgotten that I returned an item and were not issuing me my refund so I had to contact them again, which then they proceeded to give me my refund, Luckily, I keep a note of important stuff so I remember 1 and a half weeks later...

Let down by all the soft stuff…
Like so many big hardware companies that try to appear modern and slick, WD are let down by their software and their support systems. My new My Cloud Home looks fit for purpose but simple things like installing the front-end portal WD Discovery proves impossible on my Mac. Typically of my overall experience, the product registration process stalled at the final hurdle because it claimed my phone number is invalid (without specifying which format to use). The info already entered is not saved so start again. There are too many contenders out there to settle for second best.

Very positive experiences with Western Digital RMA service
Frankly, I don't understand the many negative reviews about Western Digital.
I have had to send in an RMA 3 times in the past and it has always been handled quickly and accurately. Customer service has always been exceptionally friendly and helpful.
At a last RMA, I had a lot of communication problems with the UPS carrier's customer service. Subsequently, Western Digital's logistics department made every effort to ensure that my package was delivered to the right place. I am very grateful to them for that!

Absolutely awful - lost or missing item and no refund
Gosh, I wish I read reviews before I purchased. Knowing WD as a brand for Hard Drives, I stupidly didn't think to check out the reviews before ordering.
I ordered on 23 July and it's been showing as 'processing' since then on their website. I have contacted customer services several times but they insist it's been dispatched on the 23 July but can't find a tracking number. In the meantime I've been charged but also can't get a refund as they say it's been dispatched albeit with no evidence. They only say I can get a refund once I receive it and return it back. Even if it does turn up, I don't trust them to process a refund given this experience

WD is Mostly about Customer Dis-service!
About 6.5 years ago I purchased 5 4TB WD Red Pro drives for use in a NAS device. About 1 year in, one of the drives failed. Luckily the drives were used in an N+2 failover array, so no data was lost. Dealing with WD to get the drive replaced was quite a bit of effort. They wanted me to run diagnostics on the drive, but as it wasn't responding, that turned out to be a big waste of my time. They sent me a replacement drive, but that took over 3 months, so I ended up buying another drive to replace the drive. (They refused to do any sort of advance replacement, everything seemed to take months for them.)
Fast forward about another 4.25 years and one of my drives is giving SMART errors in the NAS. It will likely fail soon. I sent the drive model info to WD customer support, telling them I had registered the drives at time of install, and just couldn't remember what the warranty was, and didn't remember which of the drives it was, from the original 5 or the replacement. I got back a canned response telling me they needed a picture of the label of the drive and me to run troubleshooting on the drive. This caused me to go looking on their website for my earlier registration of the drives. Doing so I found the info on all 6 drives, showing that they are all out of warranty! Had I taken the time to do what they wanted, I would have only wasted my time. Dealing with WD customer service is more of a dis-service. They easily could have determined from what I told them that I was outside the warranty period, yet they were to quick to send canned responses rather than look up info they already had.

Only every bought from here once before…
Only every bought from here once before about 2 years ago and the service has not improved. I wish I had not purchased from them again. My order was free shipping 5-6 days and we are on day 6 with my order still not dispatched, not surprised as the same thing happened with the last order as well not sure why they take so long to ship but they won't be shipping to me anymore. Not used the customer service thankfully but from comments on here they are worse.
